The Brisbane Lions are aware of reports of inappropriate and disgusting racial language directed towards a Gold Coast SUNS player by a Lions supporter at the weekend’s Round 10 game at The Gabba.

The Club has conducted an investigation into the reports but as the person sat in a general admission area, we have been unable to identify them.

There is no place for racism in our game. 

The Club takes matters of racial and anti-social behaviour at our games seriously.  Such behaviour is at odds with our values and the Club we aspire to be.  Had we been able to identify the person, action such as revoking membership or banning them from attending Lions games in the future would have been taken.
