Brisbane Lions veteran Daniel Rich has been given the green light to make his return from injury for Sunday’s Round 11 clash with the Adelaide Crows.
Rich, who comes into the side after missing the last three games with a quad injury, will start on the interchange in what will be game number 274 for the Club.
The renowned thumping left-footer will also be joined on the plane to Adelaide with fellow defender Darcy Gardner, who was announced on Thursday as a confirmed starter at full back.
Gardiner will play his first AFL game of 2023 in a highly anticipated return to the top level for the 27-year-old following two appearances in the VFL this year after overcoming an achilles injury.
Rounding out the interchange beside Rich is Cam Rayner, Ryan Lester, and Darcy Wilmot.
With Deven Robertson, James Madden, Nakia Cockatoo and Tom Fullarton listed as the Club’s four emergencies.
The three outs for the Lions include in-form defender Jack Payne under concussion protocols as well as last week’s substitute Callum Ah Chee and Harry Sharp.
The first bounce of Brisbane’s clash with the Crows is at 4:40pm (AEST) and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy.
