Bloody hell we're excited to be back at the home of footy (besides the Gabba)!
Lions footy is hitting the MCG for the first time in 2023 and not going to lie, we're pretty excited.
We've seen your comments, we've analysed the data, we've done the maths and this is everything you need to know ahead of our clash against the Hawks this weekend.
Last time we met
The Tasmanian curse struck again, with Hawthorn overrunning us in Fages' homeland for the second time in as many years... so we'll keep this section brief.
Here's what the AFL said about the game:
"Hawthorn has caused one of the upsets of the season, handing Brisbane just its second loss of the year with a five-point win at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston on Sunday."
"In what was a hugely entertaining game from the opening bounce, there was never more than six points separating the sides at the three breaks.
"The Lions took a four-point edge into the fourth quarter, but it was the Hawks who stood tall, kicking five goals to four in the last term to run out 18.9 (117) to 17.10 (112) winners."
Be excited about
Dev-IN
We love all our very vocal social media followers and don't worry, we've seen the hundreds of comments like "what's Dev got to do to get in?" or "Get Dev into the side!"
So this weeks team selection should come as great news to all the Dev Robertson fans out there, with our tough midfielder returning to the side this week.
In his last VFL outing, the 21-year-old notched up a lazy 21 tackles, 25 disposals and five clearances in a best-on-ground performance against Frankston.
We've also recalled fellow young gun Jaxon Prior, who will no doubt bring his trademark aggression and competitiveness to the MCG.

Match-ups we're keen to see
Jack Gunston vs Hawthorn
Gunners will face his old side for the first time this weekend, and we're expecting plenty of loud cheers of joy and happy applause from the Hawthorn faithful!
Our three-time premiership winning former Hawk said it'll be a really weird feeling running out against the Hawks on Saturday.
"It's somewhere I had great memories for 11 years and still have a lot of great friends there," Gunston said on Tuesday morning.
"It's a weird feeling, but for two hours out there, they're the opposition.
"When we go out there, we're opposing players and we're competitive people and we want to beat each other."
