There’s more than just a win on offer for the Brisbane Lions if they can kick a big score tonight at The Gabba against Richmond.

With Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland as the Club’s game day partner, the Lions will donate $500 to RMHC for every goal they kick.

The non-for-profit organisation provides accommodation and support services for families with serious ill or injured children.

This helps families stay together in the midst of physical, emotional, and financial stress, with accommodation at Herston, South Brisbane, the Queensland Children’s Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Exciting Lions forward Charlie Cameron said he hopes he and his team could kick an extra big score tonight knowing it would help make a difference in the lives of many.

“Everyone one at the Brisbane Lions love the incredible work that Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland do and it’s great to have them as tonight’s game day partner,” Cameron said.

“There’s nothing better than kicking goals in front of a packed Gabba crowd, and to know that $500 for each goal we kick goes to RMHC makes it even more special.

“I know when I am out there tonight against Richmond that I will have extra motivation to kick some goals knowing that it will help support families and children doing it tough.”

Many of those from RMHC will be involved in tonight’s match including the coin toss, being in the guard of honour and running out with the Lions as the team’s junior mascot.

The Ronald McDonald Houses and programs are run by a tirelessly hard-working team of staff and volunteers, aided by the generous support of donors, sponsors and corporate partners.

There are many ways you can support RMH families with seriously ill or injured children – you can make a donation, attend a fundraising event, become a corporate partner, volunteer or leave a gift in your Will.
