The Brisbane Lions have recorded a win before the 2024 season has started, with the Club extending its partnership with Swyftx for a further two years.
It’s an exciting move which sees Swyftx, Australia’s most popular cryptocurrency exchange, increase its support of the Brisbane Lions as their official trading platform provider.
A key element of the partnership extension will have Swyftx featured on the sleeve of the Club’s media polo and training tees.
Brisbane Lions Chief Executive Officer, Greg Swann, said it was fantastic to have Swyftx further partner with the Club after two years of being the Coaches’ sponsor.
“It’s extremely fitting for the Brisbane Lions to be extending our partnership with Swyftx, as we both pride ourselves on being industry leaders and delivering top performances,” Swann said.
“Over the past few years both Swyftx and the Lions have shown significant growth and we are excited to continue to help each other continue to do so over the next two years.”
Jason Titman, chief operating officer at Swyftx, heralded the partnership and said it came amid a surge in interest in digital assets among Queenslanders.
“The Lions are an iconic club and we’re very proud of the fact that a Brissie-based partnership of this magnitude is supporting investors to access new technologies and opportunities,” said Titman.
“We’ve seen the rate of new cryptocurrency users in Brisbane jump by nearly 80% over the last quarter and we all know what an exciting squad the Lions have built. It’s a partnership that will continue to benefit both parties.”
An estimated 23% of all Australian adults currently hold cryptocurrency.
