The Brisbane Lions VFL side will play their first game at Brighton Homes Arena for 2024 taking on Collingwood on Good Friday.

Smithy’s VFL action returns to Springfield with the Lions looking to go two from two following their 37-point, Round 1 win against Essendon.

Lions VFL coach, Ben Hudson, was impressed with his sides first outing but knows Collingwood pose a different challenge.

“We were really happy with Round 1 and some of the performances, especially the young guys,” Hudson said.

“Logan Morris, Luke Lloyd and Reece Torrent were great in their first game for the Club.

“Looking to this week, Collingwood were really good in Round 1 and we will have to be at our best on Friday.

“They give us a different look and we are excited for that challenge.”

The Lions will be hoping to secure their second win in the VFL this season.

Collingwood also enter the match hot off a win in round 1, overcoming a slow start to take care of Sandringham by 28 points.
