3-PEAT HERO GUERNSEY
The Brisbane Lions will wear a commemorative 3-Peat ‘Hero’ guernsey for this Friday night’s match against Collingwood to further celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Club’s historic hat-trick of Premierships.

It is the same design as the one worn in Round 8 against Essendon at Etihad Stadium.

The names of every player who played a senior match between 2001 and 2003 – and that of Senior Coach Leigh Matthews – are watermarked into the garment to recognise their contribution towards this remarkable period of success.

Fans can pre-order their limited edition guernsey online at www.lionsshop.com.au or by calling 07 3335 1712.

LAST TIME THEY MET
The Brisbane Lions suffered their biggest loss ever to Collingwood in Round 7, 2012, going down to the Pies by 58 points at the Gabba.

The Pies busted the game wide open in the first quarter, kicking the first 5 goals of the match. The momentum remained with Collingwood for the next 3 quarters, as the midfield trio of Swan, Pendlebury and Sidebottom each racked up more than 30 touches.

At half time the Lions trailed by 42 points and were unable to claw their way back into the game. Despite the best efforts of Jack Redden (28 touches and 8 tackles) and Matt Maguire, who did a terrific job on Cloke in the second half, the Lions finished the game 58 points down.

Brownlow Medal Votes: 3. S Sidebottom (COLL), 2. D Swan (COLL), 1. S Pendlebury (COLL).
