The fixture for the 2024 NAB AFLW Season has been confirmed as the Brisbane Lions embark on their premiership defence.
The reigning premiers will kick off their year with a Grand Final rematch against North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos at Brighton Homes Arena on Sunday September 1 from 3:05pm.
The Lions will play host on six occasions with fans treated to a footy frenzy at Brighton Homes Arena in week 3 and 4 with Collingwood and the Bulldogs both travelling north.
Along with Adelaide, Sydney and a home QClash, the Lions are set to light up Springfield in season 2024.

Head of Women’s Football, Breeanna Brock said the Lions were looking forward to pushing for greater attendance and building the excitement amongst the local community and Lions fans.
“This will be our second full season at Brighton Homes Arena and the group is looking forward to taking on the challenge against high quality opposition,” Brock said.
“We have some great opponents travelling up here and we’ll get to test ourselves against some of the best in the competition.”
“We had some great crowds at Springfield last year, and we are on a mission in 2024 to smashing our attendance from years past.
“This season we are urging our Lions fans, members and the broader local community to get behind our group.”

For the first time, teams will play an 11-game NAB AFLW home and away season with an additional game on either a Tuesday or Wednesday as ‘Mid-Week Footy’ is introduced during a four-week block across weeks four to seven in the draw.
Pride Round will be playing in Week 7 and Indigenous Rounds will be Weeks 9 and 10.
The Lions travel to Melbourne four times over the course of the season to tackle Melbourne in week 2 at Casey to kick off four games in a condensed fixture.

Friday night under the lights of Brighton Homes Arena in week 3 sets up for a blockbuster clash with the Pies, while fans only have to wait five sleeps to see the Bulldogs in week 4.
A trip to Perth in week 4, to take on West Coast rounds out the Lions interstate menu with fans in Victoria and Western Australia treated with a visit from the 2024 Premiers.
The Lions are back home against the Crows in week 5, renewing one of the AFLW’s oldest rivalries, and a return to the scene of their recent premiership glory at Ikon Park awaits against the Blues in week 6.
It is back to Brighton Homes Arena as the SUNS travel up the M1 in week 7 for QClash before a trip to the Cattery to re-ignite the tensions of the 2023 Preliminary Final.
The Swans are back in Queensland this year in week 9 and the 2024 NAB AFLW Home and Away fixture rounds out with a flight to Melbourne against the Saints.
