The Brisbane Lions will once again join the fight against MND by staging their own Big Freeze event at the Gabba in two weeks.

Following on from the success of last year’s Big Freeze – Gabba Style, this year’s event will be held as part of the Lion’s Friday Night Football against St Kilda on Friday, June 14.

The QLD Freeze will bookend a big week for FightMND, kick-started in Adelaide for their inaugural event, the Freeze then rolls into the MCG on the King’s Birthday Monday, for their annual event.

This year will commemorate the 10th anniversary of fearlessly fighting the beast, helping raise vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research and care initiatives

In Brisbane there’s no slide involved, instead celebrities will be dunked throughout the game in an ice filled dunk tank.

Celebrity dunkees will be confirmed closer to game time, so keep an eye out across Lions social media channels.

Footy fans are encouraged to help by purchasing a Big Freeze 10 Beanie.

The Lions have also launched a QLD Freeze Membership - which includes a Big Freeze 10 Beanie, a prime reserved seat at the game and general admission access to another two Lions home games.

50% of the Membership fees will be donated to Fight MND.
