The return of defender Brandon Starcevich is one of four inclusions to the Brisbane Lions’ squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with ladder-leader Sydney at The Gabba.
Starcevich, who missed last week’s win over West Coast due to concussion, has been confirmed available to play.
The other big boost for Brisbane was star forward Charlie Cameron successful in his appeal to have his three-match ban thrown out, freeing him to play on Sunday.
The Lions have also hinted at playing a fourth debutant for the 2024 season, with emerging 21-year-old ruck Henry Smith also named in the squad.

Smith, taken with Pick 48 in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens, is an exciting young player who stands at a towering 206-centimetres.
Rounding out the squad sees utility Deven Robertson added as a chance to again appear at AFL level after strong form in the VFL.
The Lions will announce their final team on Friday afternoon at 5pm.
