Mitch Robinson has been awarded the Shaun Hart Trademark Player of the Year Award at the Lions Club Champion night this evening, after earlier being named a joint winner of the Player’s Player award.
Robinson was presented his award by Strategy Coach, Danny Daly.
The Shaun Hart Trademark Player of the Year recognises the Lions player who best exuded competitiveness this season both on the footy field and in his week-to-week preparation.
Robinson, in his fifth season at the Lions, played in 23 games for the Club in 2019 and was sorely missed in the team’s Semi Final loss to GWS GIANTS, after being omitted due to a hamstring injury.
He is a fan favourite and popular amongst his teammates for his unwavering toughness, passion for the jumper and never-say-die attitude.
In positive news for the Club, the hard nut signed on for a further two seasons, remaining in the Den until at least the end of 2021.
