Dee Heslop will play her first game since Round 10, 2023 this weekend when the Brisbane Lions AFLW side take on Sydney at Brighton Homes Arena on Sunday afternoon.
After missing the Lions successful 2023 finals campaign through suspension and injuring her calf in the 2024 pre-season, Heslop will make her return to AFLW football against the Swans.
Heslop replaces Dakota Davidson, who entered concussion protocols following the Lions loss to Geelong in Week Eight.
Eleanor Hartill will play her 25th game of AFLW when she runs out on Sunday afternoon, playing 16 of those games for West Coast before being traded to Brisbane during the 2023 Sign and Trade Period, where she's featured in every match since making her Club debut in Week 2 against the Demons.
Luka Yoshida-Martin who was named in the Lions squad pulled up with soreness in her knee and has been replaced by Rania Crozier who has been selected as an emergency alongside Ellie Hampson and Kate Lutkins.
Sunday afternoon’s Week 9 clash against the Swans, is scheduled for 4:05pm at Brighton Homes Arena, with the match broadcast live on 7Two, Fox Footy and Kayo.
