Brisbane Lions ruck Eleanor Hartill will play her 25th AFLW game when she runs out on Sunday afternoon to take on the Swans.
After joining the Lions during the Sign and Trade Period from the West Coast Eagles where she played her first 16 games of her career.
A former NBL1 basketballer, Hartill has enjoyed a strong start to the year as a Lion playing eight games so far in 2024.
Playing as a second ruck and forward option, Hartill has been a consistent performer while allowing Taylor Smith to play as a pure forward for majority of the season.
“To be playing 25 games this weekend is such an honour and a privilege,” Hartill said.
“I owe a lot to West Coast for giving me my start in AFLW, I learnt and developed so much with them in my two years there.
“And then getting the opportunity to come over to Brisbane and continue my development with such an amazing group of girls and coaching staff and I can’t wait to see how much we can achieve this season.”
Hartill made her Club debut in Week 2 against Melbourne and has become a permanent fixture in Lions AFLW senior coach, Craig Starcevich’s side forming a one-two punch in the ruck with Tahlia Hickie.
