We regret to advise that former Fitzroy player, Tim Rendell, passed away on Monday the 17th February after a long battle with illness, aged 64.

Tim was the brother of Club Hall of Famer, Matthew Rendell, who tragically passed away back in June 2023.

Recruited to Fitzroy from West Torrens (SANFL) in 1982, the 204cm ruck/forward battled a variety of injuries during his time at the Club.

In fact, during his three seasons with the Club, he managed just 16 reserve-grade matches – highlighted by a 13-goal haul against St Kilda in Round 10 of 1984.

The Club extends its sincere condolences to the Rendell family, who have endured a difficult couple of years.
