The Brisbane Lions confirm forward Kai Lohmann has been cleared of any serious injury following Saturday’s Round 1 win against the Sydney Swans.
Lohmann, who was subbed out during the opening quarter, underwent scans on Monday which confirmed an ankle sprain meaning he will not require surgery.
The 21-year was out of his moonboot when he arrived at Brighton Homes Arena with teammates on Monday.
The club expects Lohmann to only miss one to two weeks, though the forward will undergo further assessment in the coming days to determine a more definite return date.
