Logan Morris will play his 25th AFL game against Collingwood at the Gabba tomorrow night and while it’s not exactly a massive milestone, it has been a massive journey, as memorable as any in club history.

It is 346 days since it all began, when he played two games in one day and debuted against Gold Coast at the Gabba after a quick feed at McDonald’s on the way to a game.

In 24 games he’s had 20 wins and a draw, played in four winning finals including the 2024 premiership, and kicked 35 goals to stamp himself as one of the best emerging young key forwards in the competition.

He’s played to a combined audience of 880,444, headed by 100,013 for the grand final, and only twice played in front of fewer than 20,000 people – 18,357 at last year’s semi-final against GWS in Sydney and 9242 against the Western Bulldogs at Norwood in Gather Round last week.

For simple comparison purposes, Michael Voss, one of the club’s greatest players, was 6-18 in his first 24 games in front of an aggregate crowd of 308,577, playing just three times to more than 20,000, and 10 times to fewer than 10,000.

Coming off a career-best 15 possessions and four goals last week, one of the biggest home-and-away game on the Brisbane calendar tomorrow night will be business of usual for 19-year-old Morris.
