Two Brisbane Lions stars have featured in Herald Sun chief football writer Mark Robinson’s Top 50 players in the game.
Lions Skipper Tom Rockliff was first to be named, coming in at no. 32. Robinson placed Rockliff one position behind Taylor Walker and one position ahead of Brett Deledio.
Earlier in the month Tom Rockliff had been placed in this year's AFL Players' Top 50. Voted by fellow players from all around the league, Rockliff was voted as no. 39.
The second Lion to make it into Robinson’s Top 50 was Brisbane Lions Vice-Captain Dayne Beams.
After a year that saw him become a joint winner of the Lions’ Merrett-Murray Medal, Beams comes in at no. 48 in the competition. One position behind Jack Gunston, and one ahead of Adam Treloar.
Beams was also listed in the AFL Players' Top 50. However, the players voted him in as no. 28 in the competition.
Were any Lions unlucky to be left out of the Top 50?
