Brisbane Lions Senior Coach Chris Fagan says he has been impressed with the playing group’s approach to pre-season.
“The attitude of the players to improve, to encourage each other, has been outstanding. I’ve been really pleased with it so far.”
The Lions’ new draftees joined the Club’s 5+ year players in a skills session at Yeronga this morning.
“They got an opportunity to train with some of the older players. That was really good for them, the getting to know you process. They paired up for the session and I reckon they got a fair bit out of it.”
"I think they believe enough is enough, and they want to become more competitive and earn respect from other teams.” https://t.co/JwIPLmAjCR

Fagan said the Club’s pre-season was gaining momentum as player and coaches got down to detailed planning for the 2017 season.
“We want to try and get as fit as we can and Damien Austin and his fitness staff are doing a terrific job with that.
“We’re very happy with how that’s progressing. We’ve had a lot of guys do PB’s on the 3km time trial and we’re really happy with the skinfold levels and all that sort of stuff. It shows a great attitude from the players.
“We’re obviously wanting to work on ours skills, particularly skills under pressure. That’s coming along well.”
