The AFL Coaches Association have named Hugh McCluggage as one of the best youngsters within the league.
Geelong's Tom Stewart took home the 2018 Best Young Player of the Year Award, with the defender rewarded for his outstanding first two seasons at AFL level.
McCluggage finished third on the final leaderboard for the 2017 and 2018 season, behind Stewart and Port Adelaide's Sam Powell-Pepper.
The award is determined by the weekly votes of the AFL coaches based on the individual's performance in their first two seasons in the AFL.
Stewart joins Clayton Oliver, Scott Pendlebury, Joel Selwood and Brownlow medalists Chris Judd and Nathan Fyfe as previous winners of the award.
