Forwards Coach Jed Adcock concedes the team are looking to put Saturday afternoon’s loss to Richmond behind them as quickly as possible.
“You try and move on pretty quick. Obviously, it’s a disappointing result,” Adcock told lions.com.au.
“But we’ve got to put it all in perspective and look at the three weeks before that.
“We look forward to Gold Coast.”
One positive from Saturday’s game was Cameron Rayner’s performance.
In his fourth senior game he had 22 possessions and kicked a goal.
“He tends to like the contested games, which for an 18-year-old’s a real positive,” Adcock said.
“He’ll only to continue to grow.”
Rayner’s fellow 2017 draftee Zac Bailey made his debut that afternoon.
“It wasn’t the result he was after…but it was a really nice development for him to be able to play in that game,” Adcock said.

Bailey will look to be named in the Lions’ Round 5 clash against the Suns this weekend.
The game marks the Club’s second home game for the season. It will also be the second time Charlie Cameron runs on to the Gabba as a Lion and is expected to light up the crowd once again.
“He's been really handy hasn’t he...he adds a bit of a different dimension there for us,” Adcock said.
“He really adds that pressure that we probably lacked last year.”
Adcock says his forward line is unrecognisable from last year. With the likes of Allen Christensen and Mitch Robinson returning after long-term injuries this season and the input of fresh faces including Cameron and Rayner, it has been an adjustment for the team.
“We’ve got four/five new players that have come through our forward line that we really haven’t seen. It’s going to take a little bit of time to come together and develop and understand everyone’s games and patterns,” Adcock said.
“I think we’ve seen some good signs when they play well together…when they get it right it’s pretty exciting."
