Weekly injury update
Lions Physical Performance Manager Brett Burton catches up with lions.com.au to give his weekly update on the Club’s injury list.
Brent Staker
Stakes has done really well this past week. He joined the main group last week so we’ll get two solid weeks of full training and then he’ll be right to play round 15.
Callum Bartlett
He’s joined main group training last week and all going to plan he’ll play round 15 as well.
Jed Adcock
Jed had finger surgery on Wednesday and there was good news out of that. He was able to get a couple of screws put in so he’ll be back in the next two weeks, either round 15 or 16.
Todd Banfield
We can confirm that Todd strained his hamstring during the last quarter of the Richmond game on Saturday. Scans on Monday revealed a hamstring strain that will probably sideline him for 2-3 weeks.
Mitch Clark
Mitch had scans yesterday which showed that he has sprained his ankle. Like Todd, he’ll be out for 2-3 weeks.
Jamie Charman
Charmo’s still going well and running with rehab skills training, and is progressing nicely.
Dan Merrett
Dan’s just had the last two weeks of complete rest and he’ll start to do some work on the bike soon, but he’s still around 8 to 10 weeks away.
Ryan Lester and Claye Beams
Ryan and Claye are both out for the season and will continue with their rehab to prepare for next year
