As a result of an issue with the membership data used for our AGM mail out, a number of members may not have received their AGM Notice pack with sufficient time to return their ballot paper.

In the interests of ensuring that all members have the ability to cast their vote, the Board has resolved to extend the closing date for voting to 5pm, Monday 7 January 2019, to provide additional time for those members affected by the delay. 

The AGM was commenced on 17 December 2018 and all matters were dealt with, save for the receiving of the results of the ballot for director elections.  A resolution was passed at the AGM on 17 December 2018, to adjourn the meeting to 6pm, Tuesday 8 January 2019, for the purpose of reconvening on that date to receive the results of the ballot. 

Pursuant to the Corporations Act, the Club is required to hold an AGM each calendar year. Due to the adjournment of the AGM to 8 January 2019, the Club will not comply with this requirement. Accordingly, the Club applied for, and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission granted, an extension of time to hold the 2018 AGM.  This extension enabled the Club to adjourn the AGM to 8 January 2019.
