The Brisbane Lions have announced their Round 18 team to take on North Melbourne this Saturday at Etihad Stadium, with two changes to last week’s side.

Forward Aaron Cornelius and midfielder Amon Buchanan have both earned a senior call-up after consistently impressing in the Lions Reserves.

Cornelius has been the Reserves’ main goal kicker for much of the season, including a bag of 5 last week against Broadbeach, while Buchanan has displayed an outstanding work ethic in the midfield which resulted in a massive 47 disposals three weeks ago against Mt Gravatt.

Both players have regularly been named among the best on ground and will be looking to prove their worth this weekend.

Cornelius will start at full forward in place of injured skipper Jonathan Brown, whose season unfortunately came to an end when he sustained facial fractures following a collision on Sunday against Geelong.

Mitch Clark, who was involved in the same collision, successfully passed a fitness test earlier today and has been named at half-forward.

Ryan Harwood has been omitted from this week’s side.
