Rhys Mathieson (MID, $423,000) produced his best game of the season on Saturday against the GIANTS. The tenacious midfielder finished with 32 disposals, six tackles and six clearances, which saw him earn a season-high 108 AFL Fantasy points. With Dayne Beams out of action for the next few weeks, Mathieson is in line to add a few more big points tallies to his name.
Nick Robertson (DEF/MID, $373,000) also ended up with his highest AFL Fantasy score of the season: 98 points. Robertson’s aggression and tireless running saw him gather 23 disposals and make five tackles.
Another consistent performance by Hugh McCluggage (MID/FWD, $309,000) saw him awarded the Round 14 Rising Star nomination. McCluggage obtained 86 points against the GIANTS and received a price rise of $17,000.
Tom Rockliff (MID, $648,000) amassed 96 AFL Fantasy points against the GIANTS, which was his highest tally since returning from a shoulder injury.
In his debut AFL match, Alex Witherden (DEF/MID, $225,000) was impressive and composed against the GIANTS attacking stars. Witherden secured 77 points, which was the eighth-highest score by a Lions player in Round 14. The young defender’s cheap price makes him an attractive option to include in your AFL Fantasy team if he continues to be selected.
Dayne Zorko's (MID, $660,000) quiet outing resulted in $20,000 being chopped off his price. Zorko’s AFL Fantasy score of 45 points was only the third time he has dipped below 100 points this season.
