In this week’s 'Throwback Thursday’ we throwback to Round 6, 1989 when Fitzroy claimed a 8-point-win over the West Coast Eagles.
In front of a crowd of 21,268 at the WACA, scores were tied at half time. Fitzroy took a 13-point buffer into the final change which set them up for the match.
Richard Osborne kicked six goals from 14 disposals while Matt Armstrong and Craig McGrath had 25 disposals respectively.
Current Fremantle coach Ross Lyon played in the match, kicking a goal for Fitzroy.
Fitzroy finished the 1989 season with a 12-10 record and in sixth position on the Ladder.
