Brisbane Lions defender Jack Frost faces a one-week suspension with an early plea after being charged with engaging in careless conduct against the Gold Coast SUNS’ Brandon Matera.
The incident happened during the third quarter of yesterday’s Week One JLT Community Series match between the Lions and the SUNS, played at Kombumerri Park.
The MRP found: “In summary, Frost can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
“Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Gold Coast Suns Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. The incident was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty. An early plea enables the player to accept a one-match sanction.”
Update: February 21
The Club has accepted Jack Frost’s one week suspension handed down by the MRP.
