With the 2017 season coming to a close for the Brisbane Lions, the Club will be looking towards this year’s AFL Draft in the coming months.
Coach Chris Fagan has outlined the Club’s plans for the sought-after first pick after the Lions lost to North Melbourne last Saturday, finishing 18th.
“Looking for that hybrid guy that can win it on the inside and spread,” Fagan said.
“We should be able to find one of those at the top of the draft I would image.”
This year's AFL Draft will return to Sydney on Friday, November 24.
The draft will be held in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, the fourth venue change for the draft in the past four years, having been staged on the Gold Coast in 2014, in Adelaide in 2015 and last year across town at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion.
