During the mid-season break I was able to get away with the family to Stradbroke Island.
Stradbroke Island is a great little getaway, and it’s so close! It was really good to get away with the wife and our little one, Jackson.
Jackson has grown a fair bit since the last time we took him camping.
Last time he was just 3 months old, and he was pretty easy to be honest. Now that he’s a bit older, he’s more on the move and it was a little bit harder.
BUT, he was a good little companion while I was fishing!

With the awesome weather in Queensland, you need to be around the water. Here are my local camping locations:
- Fraser Island
- Moreton Island
- Stradbroke Island
I’ve also been told to check out some of the national parks out west.
My next adventure will be a 10-day trip at Fraser Island in October, but before then I’m hoping to be able to take you guys our on my next fishing trip.
