Lions Captain Jonathan Brown’s team-lifting performance last Thursday night against the Blues has kept him atop the Club’s Dream Team points leaderboard for the second consecutive week.

The reigning triple Club Champion scored 141 points on the back of his outstanding seven goal effort against the Blues, three points more than his Round One score of 138 points against West Coast.

Brown’s aggregate of 279 points after two matches is the greatest individual total not only at the Lions - but also across the entire AFL competition.

Jared Brennan’s sensational early season form continued with a score of 119 points against Carlton last week to give him outright second placing in total Dream Team scores at the Lions.

However, Brennan will certainly slide this week after being ruled out of this Saturday’s match against Port Adelaide through suspension.

That leaves the door open for the likes of Luke Power who moved into equal third position overall after amassing 115 points against Carlton last Thursday. He is tied with Michael Rischitelli on 210 points while Travis Johnstone is ranked fifth with 181 Dream Team points from two matches.

While Brown remained on top in terms of Lions scorers on the field, there is a new leader in the Lions’ private Dream Team group.

‘Great White’ (coached by Chris White) have taken the outright lead from ‘Ling’s Bandits’ after another solid performance and now sits 46 points shy of Sam Taylor whose Dream Team has moved into second place.

Jed Adcock still is the best placed actual Lions player in the Dream Team competition despite falling 89 places this week to 154th overall. Meanwhile, Justin Sherman (618th) and Ash McGrath (803rd) already have plenty of ground to make up after just two rounds.

Registered Dream Teamers must remember to check their teams prior to the Round 3 lockout at 7:30pm this Friday night.
