Stefan Martin will play his 100th AFL match on Sunday against the Sydney Swans.
Martin is the archetypal late-blooming big man - an ex-basketballer who didn't take up the game until he was 19.
Drafted by Melbourne with their 3rd pick in the 2008 Pre-Season Draft from the Sandringham Zebras (VFL), he made his senior debut in Round 14 - against the Brisbane Lions at the MCG.
Martin played 57 games for the Dees before being traded to the Lions in 2012. The ruckman was a joint winner of last year’s Merrett-Murray Medal, averaging 32.5 hit outs and 21 disposals from 20 matches in 2015 (missing two games due to suspension).

As well as Martin's 100th, the Club is also celebrating two other milestones this weekend; 2014 NAB Rising Star Lewis Taylor will play his 50th AFL game and Justin Leppitsch will celebrate 50 games as an AFL Senior Coach.
Lions.com.au announced yesterday that youngster Ben Keays will make his AFL debut on Sunday.
Sam Mayes and Daniel McStay will return to the Lions’ line-up while forward Josh Schache will be rested. The Lions' No.2 pick in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft has played every game since his debut in Round 1.
Tom Cutler (shoulder) and Josh Green (general soreness) will also miss.
