TOP BRISBANE Lions' draft pick Hugh McCluggage is determined to help the Club work back towards the finals.
McCluggage and his draft class teammates completed their first training session in oppressive Brisbane conditions on Wednesday morning.
The No.3 draft pick says he's excited about his new home.
"We're going to be starting from the bottom, but hopefully we can all come together and build up and make our way back to the top of the standings," McCluggage said.

"It is a good feeling around here for what I've seen in the last few days."
McCluggage said the hot Brisbane weather was a "shock" but something he would get used to, and not even the prospect of a forecast 38-degree day on Friday could deter him.
After being widely touted as a possible No.1 selection, McCluggage slipped to the third pick, but said he was rapt to start at the Lions alongside close friend Jarrod Berry (pick No.17).
Fellow North Ballarat Rebel Cedric Cox was also drafted by the Lions.
"I'm absolutely stoked to be a part of it," McCluggage said.
