We had a magnificent win over the Essendon Bombers at Etihad yesterday which has ignited the belief in the young Lions side.
The senior players led the charge with skipper Tom Rockliff recording 38 disposals and one goal while Daniel Rich (27 possessions) did what he does best, kicking a goal from 80m off his left boot.
There were consistent efforts all across the field with Ryan Bastinac racking up 30 disposals in the midfield and Tom Cutler recording two goals after being moved down forward this week.
The goals came from everywhere with Walker kicking four while Mathieson, Cutler, Green and Dawson all kicking two a piece.
Six Hyundai Help For Kids Lions Academy players, Dawson, Hipwood, Keays, Andrews, William and Hammelmann all showed great promise for the future and direction of the footy club.
