The Brisbane Lions touched down in Launceston this afternoon, escaping Brisbane's humidity to begin their seven day INC pre-season training camp.
"We've come to Tassie to get out of the heat. Teams head north (to Queensland) to get to the heat and we've come to Launceston to get out of it," said Lions High Performance Manager Damien Austin.
The Lions today trained at UTAS Stadium (formerly known as Aurora Stadium), before being introduced to the new game plan by the coaching staff.
"We had a bit of a light run today and got them moving around. They played a few soccer games as a round robin, just to have a bit of fun."

"It's a normal training schedule, everything we do in Brisbane, we'll do here and we'll introduce the game plan and a few team building activities as well."
