 | The number of scoring shots West Coast had - Although our run and gun style of football allowed us to score high, the Eagles were at their best with 36 scoring shots (A differential of 9). The Lions were short of almost 200 games experience with Daniel Merrett missing Round 1 due to illness. He will be a valuable addition to the young backline when well. |
 | The differential of uncontested possessions - Contested possession was down 160-128 but the bigger issue was uncontested possession where the West Coast dominated 288-198 (A differential of -90). |
