Assistant Coach Murray Davis says that fans should be filled with hope when comparing our young talls to some of the premier big men in competition.

When asked by a fan why none of our talls are getting any better, Davis said:

“It’s an interesting one, because sometimes I think people want players to come in and have an impact straight away.”

“Sometimes it’s just about giving them time and being patient with them."

Davis used the following examples to show how our young talls stack up against some of the best big men in the League.

Harris Andrews' first and second Season's compared to Daniel Talia.

Harris Andrews side by side with Matt Hammelmann.

Eric Hipwood's first year compared to Joe Daniher's first two.

Josh Schache compared to West Coast key forward Josh Kennedy's first two Seasons.

The signs are there, and fans should take great encouragement from the fact that our youth are on the right track.

"It should give people a lot of hope and we’ll continue to work with them,” he said.

"It doesn’t just happen, the players have to continue to work hard and we’ll continue to work with them as well."
