Cutler was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Adelaide's Lachlan Murphy in the third quarter of Saturday night's match at the Gabba.
The incident was classified as careless conduct with high impact to the head.
Murphy failed to pass a concussion test and did not return to the field.
Cutler will leave Brisbane on Tuesday with a lawyer and Lions Football Manager David Noble to front the tribunal.
Among a number of arguments, the Lions will contest Cutler slowed down before impact and even turned away to avoid contact.
