Lions Physical Performance Manager Brett Burton catches up with lions.com.au to give his weekly update on the Club’s injury list.

Daniel Rich
Richy will be training with the main group at tomorrow’s session. Barring any incident there, he will be available to play this week.

Joel Patfull
Joel has fractured his hand in two places. He’ll have an operation tomorrow to have that plated, and the recovery time on that is 6 weeks. So unfortunately Joel is out for the season.

Jesse O’Brien
Jesse has sustained a stress fracture of the fibula. So he will be rested and that is also a 6 week recovery period, which rules him out for the remainder of 2011.

Xavier Clarke
X had exploratory surgery last week which revealed a longitudinal tear of the tendon in his foot. So he’ll be out for the rest of the season too.

The rest of the long-term injuries (Daniel Merrett, Jonathan Brown, Ryan Lester, and Claye Beams) are all progressing well with their rehabilitation.
