AN injury-hit Brisbane gained some welcome relief during the week for its Round 11 NEAFL clash with Eastlake in Canberra on Saturday.
Jack Redden, Dan McStay and Jed Adcock will return to Brisbane’s AFL side as Liam Dawson, Sam Mayes and Harris Andrews were dropped to NEAFL level.
The Lions have also been bolstered by the inclusions of Ryan Harwood and Brent Staker to take on the Demons.
It will be the first time the two clubs have played each other at NEAFL level following the competition’s restructure at the end of 2014.
A win for either team would be a big confidence boost, with the Demons yet to taste victory and the Lions with only one win under their belt against Redland in Round 2.
Captain-coach Ben Waite headlines the inclusions for Eastlake after missing several weeks with injury.
Waite has been named at half-forward with draft prospect Brydan Hodgson selected for his NEAFL debut.
