Lions Physical Performance Manager Brett Burton catches up with lions.com.au to give his weekly update on the Club’s injury list.

James Polkinghorne
He’s travelling pretty well. He obviously got a concussion out of the game on Saturday night but he’s improved since then. We’re just following the normal concussion protocol and we’ll re-test him every day.

Andrew Raines
Rainsey is fine now. There have been no modifications to his training the past few days so he’ll be fine for this weekend.

Jonathan Brown
He’s waiting to see the surgeon on Thursday but we’d like to think he’ll get the all-clear. It was verbalised to us previously.

Xavier Clarke
Xavier’s going well. He’s running at 100% now and has been kicking over an excellent distance as well so he’ll train for the rest of this week and then get a full week in to play next week.

Niall McKeever
Niall’s coming along too and running at full pace, kicking over 25-30 metres so we’re expecting that he’ll be good to go next weekend.

Brent Staker
Stakes is going well, he’s been running the last couple of weeks. He’s probably a bit ahead of his program that’s been set for him, so that’s good. He’s not experiencing any soreness there so he’s on target for a return in around Round 15.

Ryan Lester
Ryan has just come back from Melbourne where he’s had a bit of break and spent some time with his family. He can’t have any weight bearing activity for the first six weeks so he’s limited in what he can do - just upper body at this stage. He’s just come back into the group and is around the footy club again which is good, he’s concentrating on his upper body strength and conditioning.

Callum Bartlett
Callum’s running well and kicking well and progressing nicely.

Jamie Charman
Charmo is continuing along with his running program and has reported good results.
