The Brisbane Lions proudly unveiled their 2020 Clash guernsey at the Club’s annual “Summer in the City Christmas Block Party” at The Gabba earlier this evening.
The jumper, designed by the Club’s new merchandise partner Classic, pays homage to the history of the Brisbane Bears with the maroon V and gold Lion.
The players had the opportunity to cast their vote on a preferred design, after Classic came up with a few samples.
“The players absolutely love it,” Lions Merchandise and Licensing Manager Anthony Croker said.
“You’ve got the home guernsey which is the Brisbane Lions, the away guernsey which is Fitzroy and the clash guernsey is kind of dedicated to the Bears.
The new design is the first over the past three years and Croker said the jumper is a fantastic opportunity for the Club to acknowledge its rich history.
“It’s honouring the past while embracing the future,” Croker said.
“That’s something we’re trying to bring to life.
“We’re a lucky Club, we’ve got such rich history.”
