The Brisbane Lions have submitted paperwork to the AFL to place injured midfielder Allen Christensen on the Club’s Long Term Injury List.
Jake Barrett, who was initially elevated in replacement of Sam Skinner, will again return to the Club’s Primary List – this time to replace Christensen.
Scans revealed in April that Christensen would miss the remainder of the season after a crack had developed in the surgical steel plate that had been implanted to strengthen his broken collarbone.
Immediate surgery was ruled out given the large amount of surgical work done to the collarbone since it was first broken in Round 11 last season against Carlton at Etihad Stadium.
Barrett, a tough midfielder with great work-rate and endurance, has played six matches this season.
