LAST TIME THEY MET
The Lions kicked the final five goals of the match to defeat Port Adelaide by 11 points at the Gabba in Round 15 last year.
It was a back-and-forth contest all day, with no more than eight points separating the two teams at each of the breaks.
The biggest margin was a 20 point deficit late in the third quarter - but the Lions promptly kicked three goals in three minutes, followed by two unanswered majors in the fourth term to seal the win.
Best on ground for the Lions were Tom Rockliff (31 disposals) and Luke Power (24 disposals, three goals), while Port Adelaide’s Jay Schulz kicked a career-high seven goals.
