THE BRISBANE Lions continue to put their free agency eggs into the Kurt Tippett basket and will continue to do so until the Adelaide big man finally makes up his mind on which club he will join in 2013.

Lions list manager Robert Kerr told radio SEN on Friday morning that the Sydney Swans appear the favourite to sign Tippett, but said his club hadn’t give up hope in bringing Tippett back to Queensland.

"He's taking the last few days to consider offers put in front of him," Kerr said.

"What I would day is that Sydney has a great track record of putting together attractive offers for key forwards such as Tony Lockett and Barry Hall."

Kerr said that big and imposing forwards such as Tippett remain the most prized catch in the Gillette AFL Free Agency Period.

"They're a rare commodity and important to the way teams structure their forward lines. Game-plans are built around them," he said.

The Lions won't turn their attention to other free agents until Tippett decides his fate, but he said the Lions remain committed to bringing another "mature body" into the club.

"If not successful with Kurt, there are other players we would like to look at," he said.

He refused to comment on speculation that the Lions were talking to Melbourne midfielder Brent Moloney and Hawthorn wingman Clinton Young.
