Welcome to the 2016 Vero Fan Moment Voting for Round 5.

Round 5 against the Bulldogs did not carry over the team heroics from Round 4. But there were still some player efforts to commend. Each weekly vote puts you in the draw to be selected to present the Vero Fan Moment of the Year on stage at the Brisbane Lions Club Champion night.

Here are the Round 5 moments:

Lions Opener The boys held the Bulldogs to miminal scoring for most of the first quarter before creating this nice break down the field to kick the first goal of the match.

Merrett Making His Mark It is easy to forget how effective Merrett can be as a defender when our high-risk high-reward style of footy sometimes sees scorelines and opposition shots on goal blowout. But the backline veteran had several big spoils and marks to win back possion on the weekend that we think were worth a nod.

Zorko's Zippers 'The Magician' got ball to boot extremely quickly several times on the weekend on his way to 2 goals and being voted Lions Player of the Round.

Schache-Basti-Rich New recruit Ryan Bastinac displayed good teamwork and game smarts when he handed the Sherrin off to Dan Rich for one of his well-known left leg long bombs.
