Brisbane Lions’ forward Josh Green has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Club.
The new agreement will see Green, 21, remain at the Lions until at least the end of the 2016 season.
Green’s new deal is more great news for the Lions who yesterday announced talented midfielder, Jack Redden has signed a new two-year deal to remain at the Lions until at least the end of 2016.
Green, who was drafted from Tasmania with Pick No. 32 in the 2010 AFL National Draft, said the decision to stay in Brisbane was an easy one.
“I am very excited to extend my time with the Lions as Brisbane is now home,” said Green.
“There is a lot of exciting young talent at the Club and I really want to be a part of the future of our footy Club.”
Lions General Manager, Football Operations, Dean Warren, said:
“It’s a great show of faith in the direction of the Football Club that Josh has committed for a further two years.
“After playing 17 Senior games last season Josh is very keen to cement his spot in the side and we are really excited about his ability to take his game to the next level.”
Green, who made his debut in 2011, played 17 games for the Lions in the 2013 AFL Premiership Season.
