Aaron Cornelius has signalled his intentions for the 2013 season by booting a game-high three goals in the Brisbane Lions’ intra-club match at Coorparoo on Thursday morning.

Cornelius helped get a supremely accurate red team off to a commanding lead early in the match, before switching to the blue team in the third, and final, period.

In the end, the red team came out on top 9.1 (55) to the blue’s 5.8 (38).

Most importantly, there were no visible casualties from the Club’s first competitive hitout for the season.
