The Brisbane Lions players heading to Wagga for Round 2 of the AFL NAB Cup won’t be the only ones getting valuable match practice this weekend.

A selection of those players who weren’t named in the squad to face Greater Western Sydney will be lining-up for the Lions Reserves this Saturday 2 March for the first NEAFL practice match of 2013.

The match will be played against Redland at O’Callaghan Park (340 Zillmere Road, Zillmere) starting at 9am.

It will be the first time the Lions Reserves have taken to the field since claiming the State League premiership last season.

It will also be the first opportunity for new Reserves Coach Leigh Harding to take charge of the young side.

All Lions fans are invited to come along and cheer for the Reserves side this Saturday morning, before settling in later that evening to watch the live stream of the senior team’s NAB Cup clash on GIANTS TV.
