Brisbane Lions star Daniel Merrett will undergo surgery today after sustaining a fractured left ankle during yesterday’s win over the Western Bulldogs.
Merrett’s recovery timeframe is expected to be up to four months.
Brisbane Lions Co-Captain, Jonathan Brown, has also undergone a minor knee operation, while Jared Polec will have an ankle clean-up today.
Brown underwent surgery last Friday on an injury that troubled him during the season.
The operation was successful and Brown’s recovery timeframe from this surgery is expected to be six weeks.
Brown was sidelined for the season when he underwent surgery on a plantar fascia injury sustained against St Kilda in Round 19.
