The Brisbane Lions’ big weekend in Melbourne just got even bigger with confirmation that the team will be holding an open training session for fans on Friday afternoon.
The session will be held at the familiar surrounds of Wesley College (597 St Kilda Road, Melbourne) from 4pm – 5pm.
It kicks-off a busy couple of days for Victorian-based Lions fans who will have the opportunity to attend a number of FREE events surrounding the NAB Cup clash against Collingwood.
The Club’s official big screen venue in Victoria, The Oxford Scholar Hotel, is inviting all fans to get together before Saturday night’s game (from 4:30pm) to enjoy an early dinner and mingle with fellow supporters.
Lions fans are also encouraged to stay back after the match to take a tour of the Historical Society Museum and hear about some of the Victorian activities that are being planned for 2013. There will be a number of special guest speakers - including some of the Lions' coaches who will provide a detailed review of that night's match.

Then, of course, there’s the Devine Lions Victorian Family Fun Day on Sunday morning (9:30am – 12:30pm) at Etihad Stadium, which gives fans the chance to meet the travelling team, sign up as a 2013 member, browse all the latest Lions gear, and get involved in a range of fun activities.
The Club is looking forward to seeing all Victorian-based fans out in force this weekend, as a preview towards the team’s return visit later this month for their all-important season-opener against the Western Bulldogs.
