No Paine, no gain
A shoulder injury won't dampen Jackson Paine's Arizona experience
Paine will undergo a modified pre-season training program after having surgery on his right shoulder last month, but remains on track to be ready for the start of the NAB Challenge.
Although he’ll obviously be unable to participate in some of the ‘heavy lifting’ activities planned for Flagstaff, he believes the trip will help better facilitate him getting to know his new coaches and teammates.
“It was put to me as soon as I committed to the Club that I might have to stay in Brisbane, but now I’m going to Arizona and am really excited,” Paine said.
“It’s obviously an important thing for a new player to get around the boys and, if nothing else, will be a really good bonding opportunity.
“Physically, I’ve got my limitations, but am really looking forward to getting to know the boys, and there’s no better opportunity than spending two and a half weeks away in America.”
